Gulkand Gleam sugared rose petal body scrub: Gulkand is a sweet preserve of rose petals widely loved in the Indian sub-continent and is known to be an Ayurvedic tonic that pacifies cools and refreshes.
Wild Indian rose petals and natural raw cane sugar are placed in layers in wide-mouthed airtight glass jars which are exposed to sunlight for around 3 to 4 weeks.
When the process is complete, the gulkand is kept indoors in a tightly sealed container. Natural and unprocessed (also known as raw or brown) cane sugar is a humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment into the skin. It is also a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that encourages cell turnover and helps generate fresher, younger-looking skin.
The small cane sugar crystals along with cold-pressed nut and vegetable oils make this an excellent exfoliant that helps fix dry coarse and dull skin and to keep it supple and hydrated all year round.
